Terilyns Senior Portraits

This is Terilyn upbeat, stylish, and very photogenic. We had a blast as we tromped through mud, climbed in dirty old tubs, braved freezing weather and dodged traffic. These are me of my favorite shots. Who said being a model was all glamorous.

Proceeds will benefit Next door Solutions, an organization that helps victims of domestic violence. For those that have been keeping up with the project may have notice that the charity has been changed. Due to some recent events in the life of a friend of mine I decided last minute to change the charity. Thanks to all that helped to make this shoot a success.

Travis; Aspiring model and actor

These are some studio shots I took of Travis, one of the models who came to my auditions. Although he was not selected I offered a discounted session to everyone who took the time to come out and audition. Here are some of my favorite shots.

Auditions were a success!

Thank you to all the models that came to our auditions on Oct. 17th. Melonie and I appreciate all the support on this project. The guys were all great and we selected 3 wonderful guys to be featured in the shoot. The girls were m.i.a, where were you girls at? We had a very limited number of girls attend. Thankfully we found a beautiful girl who was perfect for the shoot and 2 back up models, but we still need more female models. The shoot is set for January 16th. If you are interested in helping out children with cleft lip and networking at the same time please contact me. I am also looking into referrals if you know someone who would be perfect for the shoot, below are some inspirational photos for the fashion shoot. We are going with a candy theme and it will have an editorial feel.

Model Auditions

Cherry Bazaar Photography and Amp'd up Creations are hosting a High Fashion Photo Shoot to benefit children with cleft lip. The decided theme is intricate candy make up and will take place most likely in San Francisco. We are looking for roughly four girls and two guys to be in the shoot. The photo's from the shoot will be put into a look book that will be sold online for charity. The book itself is still a concept in the making. It may have make up tips, in it or other verbiage that is related to the fashion industry. Mainly it will be made up of all the colorful and avant garde photo's from the shoot. We are also playing with the idea of joining with some local businesses that will display miniature sneak peak booklets for patrons to take as they like. All models involved will be credited by name (in the book itself) and receive a copy of the book on CD to print out for agents and vendors as they like. It is important that this shoot be a success for all involved so we ar...

Samantha's High Fashion Shoot

When I was first introduced to Samantha to discuss the theme of her shoot. I thought I was going to have to work extra hard to bring her out of her shell, but, underneath her understated clothes and the hair in her face was a surprisingly confident 17 year old girl. We had a trial rub with hair and make-up and to select clothing. we decided her home would make a great setting for her photo shoot. On the day of the shoot I greeted her with her favorite Starbucks beverage,a passion tea. Melonie Pavlick , an awesome M.U.A.( www.myspace.com/meloniespage )started her make up and hair, while I set up for the shoot. Samantha was completely open. She even let Melonie cut bangs, which look amazing on her! Her first look was a sixties style, and my personal favorite. Samantha really surprised me, she was an absolute natural. She needed hardly any direction and even posed herself beautifully. For the second look we decided to try something a little less everyday, and really play with some fantasy....

This is a link to the proofing site of Samantha's photo's. Some have been edited and some are in the unedited form. It will be easy to tell the difference. I will be posting a few favorites directly on the blog soon.

Tim and Kelly

Here is a slide show I made of the final album for Tim and Kelly.

Family Feud

For all those people out there who recently caught my stunt on Family Feud I thought I might explain myself. Last year my family (mom Burnadette , sister Bridget, sister Kimberly, and brother Nicolas) and I appeared on Family Feud. We won 2 games and were on three episodes. The process of getting on the show was in depth. Almost 2 years ago we drove down to L.A. and auditioned. The did a mock round and scored us based on energy, and basic knowledge of the game. It is very important that you are entertaining to watch, they aren't concerned with right answers. If any of you know my family, you know we are anything but dull and boring. Needless to say we got an A+ and were the only family they paid gas and hotel to come from out of town. We had two week notice when they called and asked if we could come down to film. This was very difficult, because you must have the same 5 people that were at the audition process, so we all had to re-arrange our schedules. You only get invited twice ...

The Ritter Family

Missy, model in the making...

Missy is a 19 yr old from Vacaville. We had such an adventure taking these photo's. I really wanted to try out some new locations around the Bay Area, and she was up for anything. We started in a beautiful woodsy area in the Oakland Hills, however I struggled with avoiding blotches of light through the trees. I was really hoping for an overcast day day because, the redwoods fill with a wonderful fog. Next we tried some rolling hills that looked great from afar, but, up close were actually filled with prickly weeds that were impossible to sit on. So we took some standing and then moved on to the biggest adventure of all. I had passed this little hidden creek, that is alongside a major road I took to work everyday for a year. I always thought it would be an awesome location for a portrait session. The only problem with the lo cation was how would we get over the cement wall and climb down the slippery rocks with all my equipment while speeding cars brushed us a 45 miles per hour?? l...
