Benley~ 6 months already!!

I have had the remarkable joy of capturing Bentley's life from the womb. He is now 6 months and couldn't be cuter. It is a challenge doing baby pictures. I always end up making some sort of fool out of myself in front of the moms. lol. I thought I would go over a few things for moms thinking of doing this type of session. Here are some pointers for making your session easy. Don't fuss over clothes, you will find the portraits you love the most are the ones that are simple and uncomplicated. Nothing is cuter than a naked baby. Schedule your session after a nap for those happy shots. A good photographer will be flexible about breaks, in fact we prefer it. We want your baby to be happy and comfortable. If you want to have those great straight into the camera shots, try to resist the temptation to call your babies name and try to try and make them laugh, unless the photographer asks you too. This will keep you from getting a bunch of photo where your baby is looking off to

The Stonerock's Clothing Ads~ A fun family portrait project

The Stonerock's family portraits were taken on location in a natural light setting (my fave!). Sarah and I went to High School together, back then she was just as stunning, Harry is her first child and such a character! As a mom I get so much joy watching first time parents. After I took these photos I thought to myself, wow this family could be models for a clothing line. So I decided to post some to my blog as clothing campaigns, just for fun. I also asked Sarah some questions that would be of benefit to local moms in the Fremont area. Here are her answers: Where did you come up with the name Harry? Harry was named after his great grandfather on Ian's side. Ian always wanted to name his son Harry in honor of his grandfather who died when he was relatively young. Where do you like to take Harry for family fun? I take Harry to the Always Dream park in Fremont, American swim academy, Gymboree, Santa Cruz beach boardwalk, and the beach. How do you keep your sanity with a

Peter and Angela~ A match.com love story

Angela and Peter found love on match.com. They connected over interests like camping, hunting, and being outdoors. Three years later Peter proposed on a beach in Carmel. Their rustic wedding took place at the Mounted Patrol in Woodside Ca. True to there personalities the wedding was carefree and seemed uncomplicated, but, that didn't mean thought wasn't put into every detail. Angela definitely did her research and invested time in making sure her wedding was a perfect representation of Peter and her. It was truly a DIY wedding. Her bouquets were simple babies breath made by her bridesmaids the night before. The menus that lay on the napkins (attached by mini clothes pins) featured items like " Marsha's hoe down potato salad" lovingly provided by family members. Laughter filled the room as everyone dug in using silverware that was hand painted with yellow handles. I asked her how long it took and she said about 10 hours. I am always impressed when a bride has
