Graphic Design Contest

Hello all you graphic designers out there. I am having a contest for the entire month of April to find the perfect logo for my photography business. Please send a small version of your design to cherrybazaar@comcast.net. I will give feedback and post your design on my blog. The winning design will receive a free portrait session, with no limit on amount of people, hours, or outfit changes. You will receive all your photos on a high resolution CD. In addition you will be credited on my blog (cherrybazaar.blogspot.com) and my up and coming website with a direct link to your site if at all possible. All who are interested listen up. The design must be a psd. file or developed in illustrator, also I need it to be 300 dpi and large enough to put on my car window. I am looking for something with a vintage feel. I have been playing with the idea of turquoise and red or pink and black? I really like the work of Jenn Culp (designbyjenn.com). For any questions, please contact me ...

Kelly and Tim

Kelly and Tim's October 11th, 2008 simple ceremony took place at the modest Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Newark. Following the ceremony we took a short drive to Shinn Park a great location for portraits. The reception was held at the Spin A Yarn restaurant in Warm Springs. I had so much fun shooting these two. You could feel the love not only between the two of them but also the loving support from the entire bridal party. The reception rocked without losing the dignity of the occasion. It was a very nice wedding, and I was privileged to be a part of it. Tim and Kelly decided on a 10x10 imount flush album. Here are some of the pages. I would like to give special thanks to designbyjenn.com she has amazing and versatile templates. Check her out! http://design-byjenn.blogspot.com/.

The Many Faces of Jaclyn

This is Jaclyn, photographic by nature. We started the day at the local laundry mat for some funky creative shots then spent the rest of the day driving down a rural road and stopping whenever we saw something interesting to shoot in front of. Jaclyn is a photography student herself so posing was effortless for her, as her photo's plainly show. We had fun changing clothes, hopping fences, and running into a dead deer, it was an adventure to say the least. I liked so many it was hard to pick just one!

Maternity Portrait Session

I recently just had a maternity session. This is Courtney and Mitch. Aren't they cute?? This shoot was done in studio. The effect was achieved by hanging a sheer in front of a window that was getting about 11:00 am sun light. I love the diffused effect.

Introducing Myself

Hello everyone! This is my very first blog entry. I would like to take this opportunity to tell everyone a little about myself and what we do here at The Cherry Bazaar. I am a beauty photographer and I specialize in women, but, I also shoot weddings, maternity, family, and children. I have been shooting for about 9 years and am self taught. Although I did decide a few years ago to take some college classes, I have found that a majority of good photography is about timing and anticipating the moment before it happens. This is something you can't teach. However education is very important to me and I will always continue to expand on what I know as the industry changes. I have a traditional style with a photo journalistic twist. I do not consider myself to be strictly photo journalistic, because, I find a lot of times people feel more comfortable with a little direction. That being said I will always love the candid before the portrait. Many people may wonder what Ch...
