My favorite memory of Camille , who is 7 months old, was just last month when she recognized me for the first time. She didn't at first. But when I called her by the nickname that I gave her, "My Chunk", she started smiling and laughing. Good times.

My great niece Evelyn was 6 weeks old at my daughter Ashley's wedding. Ashley had not met Evelyn yet and the moment she did was caught in a photo of Ashley and her new husband looking at her sleeping in her car seat with Evelyn's mom Amanda looking on. It was a special moment at a very special event.
I hope you will consider her for your photo shoot, she has amazing blue eyes with olive skin.

Thanks, Chris

I’m the mother of 2 amazing kids… My favorite memory so far is witnessing the close bond between my children. A few weeks ago I attempted to take a shower while my two an a half month old daughter was napping in her crib & my four year old son was occupied. I brought the baby monitor into the bathroom with me & hurried through the typical 2 minute Mom shower. My daughter started to cry and my son came in to tell me. I told him i knew & would be out in a second. I heard him go in her room & start singing to her the song he made up " i love my baby sister" As I entered my daughter’s room I found my son standing in front of the rocking chair with my daughter laying on it & he was rocking it singing to her. He had gotten his step stool and got her out of her crib. My first thought was oh my god how sweet then it kicked in how the heck did he get her out of her crib. My son looked at me and simply said "Mom, she was crying so I helped her”. My baby daughter was laying there smiling up at her big brother with such love and happiness in her eyes. It was truly a moment I will never forget.

When I read on how to enter this contest "your favorite memory of this child" I was like ya right Keira is 3 months old, she poops, eats and sleeps! But then I dug a little deeper, as adults we lead very stressful lives so one day Erica brought Keira to the office for a visit, so I held her as I showed her off to my co-workers and then became very sad when they left, you know why? This innocent baby brought a calmness to a hectic place and put a smile on people's faces! The smell and feel of a baby's skin, the cuddle of her face next to yours and the gentle coos of delight in reply to your silly faces, this is my favorite memory of Keira (so far) : )

Love her great auntie Susan.

My little one is almost 5 months old. It's hard to pick just one favorite memory, but my most recent favorite memory happened last week when she was hungry and crying for her bottle. I thought it would be a good idea to sing her a song to calm her down. About 10 seconds into my singing "twinkle twinkle little star" she stopped crying and looked at me. I thought my beautiful voice had done the trick, but a couple more seconds of my singing and she started laughing. The uncontrollable and highly contagious baby laugh with an occasional squeal. Although I realized I might not have a very good voice it made me so happy to see her so happy and we just looked at each other and laughed and laughed.

Like above it is hard to pick one. The two favorite things about my little Emmacita is she said momma first when my oldest said dadda and the best is when I pick her up and start talking to her. She takes her little hand and places it on my face and smiles. It melts my heart every time.

Photographing Children "Jesse, his father, and grandfather"

This is Sergio Sr. Sergio Jr. and Jesse. Jesse is 6 but, going on 16. Working with children of that age is always difficult. Who wants to sit/stand still while someone takes pictures... BORING! I find that making it into a game, or asking for funny faces makes children more interested. I let him set the pace. You can't force a child to smile, or punish them for not smiling ( I have witnessed that in the past) trust me it doesn't work. In fact it only guarantees that next year when it's family portrait time, you will have a melt down on your hands. Bringing his/her favorite toy is a good idea too. You can offer to take a picture of it for him/her. I let Jesse stand where he wanted, pose like he wanted and posed the family around HIM. Another trick I use is letting the kids take a picture of his parents with my camera (camera strap ON, lol). They love that and it makes them feel more involved. My rule is let the kid be a kid and your bound to get some great shots. Here are a ...
